HANDS-ON TRUFFLE MAKING WORKSHOP



Learn the art of making luxurious chocolate truffles, in a 2 hour hands-on workshop. Working alongside Josophan's founder, Jodie Van Der Velden, learn how to make a variety of truffles, and flavour with Josophan's signature fresh infusions.
$75 per person - including a large box of truffles to take home!

In support of Slow Food Blue Mountains Kitchen Garden Workshop initiative, Josophan's is hosting a dessert making workshop. Using Fairtrade Certified chocolate, local hazelnuts, fresh eggs, herbs and honey, learn to create this amazing plated dessert.
'Triple chocolate extravaganza'
Lusciously rich chocolate ganache and caramel tart, with chocolate pastry base, served with chocolate, lavender and honey ice-cream, and caramel glass.

In support of Slow Food Blue Mountains, Kitchen Garden workshops, focussing on the
use of fresh eggs in cooking, Josophan's is hosting a 'Trio of desserts' workshop. Working alongside Josophan's founder Jodie, you will learn the skills to create three amazing desserts. A tasting plate will be created incorporating White chocolate Creme Brulee, Lemon Curd Tart topped with Italian Meringue, and a creme anglaise based Chocolate Cremeux encased in chocolate.

'Chocolate Covered' - Chocolate Appreciation Workshops
Chocolate appreciation, understanding and enlightenment – from bean to bar
Taste chocolates from all over the world!

Josophan’s Chocolate Covered workshops are designed to demystify the world of chocolate for participants and there has never been a better time to learn more about the ‘super food’ chocolate.
Chocolate Covered will take participants on a discovery tour, enhancing their understanding and challenging tastebuds. Jodie Van Der Velden, founder of the award winning Josophan’s, will lead participants through the Chocolate covered experience, taking a journey from bean to bar, as they learn about:
- The history of cacao
- How and where cacao grows
- different types of cacao
- harvesting and manufacturing - following the bean to bar
Participants will be guided through a fun and enlightening tasting of up to 15 chocolates, arguably some of the best in the world, made from beans sourced around the globe. Participants will learn to discern different tastes/textures/aromas using all their senses, whilst learning:
- how to determine the quality of chocolate using your senses
- how different origin beans effect chocolate outcomes in extraordinary single origin chocolates
- how chocolate is used by artisan chocolatiers to create fine chocolates
- how to store chocolate
The Chocolate Covered experience is ideal for those wanting to learn more about chocolate, makes a fabulous gift idea and is a great TEAM BUILDING opportunity, with participants involved in interactive taste testing competitions to win prizes and sharing the fun experience!
